Disco:  No, not like the dance, music and fashions of the 70's, but as in "Discontinued".

Memo:  Fabric mills send out fabric samples - called memos- so that designers can touch the actual fabric, and see construction and color options.

As fabrics get discontinued, memos are no longer needed and these gorgeous fabric samples are thrown out. In the design biz, they're known as "disco memos". 

Upscale, Up-Cycled Gift Bags

Fabric artist Heather Ashberry has given new life to these gorgeous designer fabric samples in the form of individually crafted gift bags.

The Savannah-based artist creates custom gift bags using discontinued memo samples that would otherwise go to the landfill.

Paired with colorful ribbons, these make the perfect, upscale, up-cycled, reusable gift bags!
